Demijohn bottles were used by European villagers to store wine from local vineyards. The glass bottles were originally covered in wicker to protect them from breaking. Overtime, their wicker covering was removed to reveal the colored glass bottle beneath.

These glass cloches are made using those vintage demijohn bottles. The bottle is cut in half then the cut edge is dipped in copper leaf foil. They are perfect for covering candles, soaps, pastries or any tabletop decor.
